Administered by the Education Bureau of Dingbian County People’s Government, Dingbian Middle School is a public senior high school and public institution of Dingbian County. Founded in 1939, it originated from the Third Normal School of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region. In 1944, it merged with Minzu University of China and was renamed Sanbian Public School.
