Solution for AV System Construction of Cultural Palace Concert Hall
I. Industry Background
•Culture and sports represent the soul and foundation of a nation, serving as powerful drivers of economic growth and social civilization advancement. Amid rapid urban and national development, cultural centers — as core carriers of public cultural services — have become indispensable components of urban infrastructure. As a key functional module of modern cultural centers, concert halls satisfy residents’ demands for artistic appreciation, support the prosperity of public music culture, boost the development of socialist spiritual civilization, and carry forward fine traditional Chinese cultural virtues.
• Concert Halls in cultural centers serve as venues for mass music events and original artistic creation reflecting public musical tastes. Citizens can participate in cultural activities via art troupes, choirs, moral education lectures and cultural forums to enjoy artistic charm and inherit traditional virtues, contributing to the development of national socialist culture.
• Committed to public-oriented service, concert hall construction must satisfy professional acoustic standards for musical performance. Meanwhile, concert halls act as iconic landmarks of urban culture, helping residents build correct world outlook, outlook on life and values and fuel steady social progress.

II. Project Requirements
• The concert hall is primarily designed for various musical performances including chamber concerts, large-scale symphony shows, solo recitals and city-level grand galas.
1. Adopt optimized layout for cost-effective construction under the premise of advanced, stable and high-performance system configuration to save investment cost.
2. Interior acoustic decoration complies with professional concert hall criteria to guarantee clear and full vocal reproduction, uniform sound intensity and consistent acoustic coverage across all audience areas.
3. Meet natural acoustic performance requirements for Chinese folk concerts and international symphony performances without excessive electronic reinforcement.
4. Support live broadcast and recorded program production for TV stations and radio broadcasters.
5. Satisfy special sound effect playback demands for stage productions.

V. Design Scheme
• Concert hall acoustic design prioritizes natural live sound reproduction, with full audience coverage achieved primarily through direct sound propagation. Loudspeakers are kept to a minimum quantity and centrally mounted on the stage to eliminate acoustic interference, deliver pristine audio, and ensure uniform frequency response throughout all audience areas. Precise control of sound coverage angles effectively mitigates sound diffusion, acoustic feedback and energy attenuation. This elevates the usable sound pressure level and expands the system gain margin.
• To narrow the spatial distance between audiences and performers, the stepped canyon-style layout is widely adopted. The design features a central performance stage encircled by segmented audience zones. Each audience zone is equipped with inclined acoustic reflectors, while motorized overhead reflectors mounted above the stage evenly diffuse reflected sound. This ensures every audience member enjoys well-balanced live musical sound.

• This rectangular 800-seat concert hall features a dimension of 40m (length) × 40m (width) × 25m (height). It adopts a left-right stereo sound system supplemented by front-fill speakers, with the core design concept focused on authentic natural sound reproduction.
• The main PA system consists of dual-tier line array speaker clusters arranged in upper and lower layers. The upper tier is equipped with six SK-2010K line array speakers in an A+B+C configuration, while the lower tier adopts six SK-2010K8 line array speakers in an A+B layout, all concealed at the stage corners. For enhanced low-frequency performance, the system is fitted with four SK-2018DH subwoofers and two SK-928S low-frequency cabinets. In addition, six recessed SK-708 compact speakers are embedded across the stage, paired with six SK-712F stage monitors to provide accurate audio feedback for on-stage performers.
