I. Industry Background
Issued in March 2012 and June 2016 respectively, China’s national education informatization development plans (namely, the 2011-2020 Plan and the 13th Five-Year Plan) have set clear targets for campus digital upgrades. Guided by the premise that information technology exerts a revolutionary impact on education, these policies advance school informatization construction to achieve four core goals: high-quality sharing of teaching resources, deep integration of digital technology into classroom teaching, comprehensive innovation in educational concepts and teaching methods, and the development of smart digital campuses.
II. Requirement Analysis
1. Point-to-point local playback inside classrooms
Wall-mounted IP terminals are deployed in every classroom. Teachers can freely select and play audio resources from the central server independently, without cross-class interference, and local on-site sound reinforcement is also supported.
2. Sub-control management and remote broadcast paging
Auxiliary management PCs are arranged in principal offices and the campus broadcasting station to enable convenient on-site operation. Authorized staff can initiate remote paging to the whole campus, specified grades, individual classes or administrative offices via the remote call station.
3. Scheduled background music and timed class bells
The programmable unattended automatic scheduling system supports zone-specific playback of class bells, eye exercises and group calisthenics in accordance with the daily school timetable.
4. Backup function for classroom terminals
Each wall-mounted terminal is equipped with a constant-voltage analog backup circuit. The system will automatically switch to the traditional constant-voltage broadcast mode when there is a power outage or network failure, to guarantee the stable operation of English listening examinations.
5. Local PA expansion via terminals
For outdoor sports meetings and flag-raising ceremonies, wireless microphones can be connected to IP terminals to realize temporary on-site loudspeaker broadcasting on the playground.
